On and On

About the song: I wrote this song as I was recording it. Like My Life Was Fine Until You Poisoned the Air, I wanted a simple musical base so I could add in a bunch of stuff.

On and On

Go home. Take your stones.
They weigh me down too low
But I carried all the weight to know
You were light for a time.

It’s raining on our tin roof home
You used to like the sound of it
Now I’m sitting alone
With the dial tone
Singin’, “Hallelujah”.

And it goes on and on and on
And it goes on and on and on

As I lie here in the sheets
I’m reminded of how it used to be
And as I sing, “Hallelujah”
They can hear it in the streets

And it goes on and on and on
And it goes on
And on
And on
